Urgently required for a reputed MEP Division is Specialist Engineering Company undertaking the Design, Engineering, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services for Commercial / Residential & Infrastructure Projects in UAE.
Summary of Role:
Provides operational HSE support for all activities associated with the permitting and day-to-day operation of the construction site. Implements health, safety and environment plans, programs, and procedures and maintains compliance with various regulatory permits issued by local, state and national authorities.
Key Accountabilities
-The implementation of AFE HSE Policy.
-To plan, direct and supervise the HSE functions and activities all over country as directed by HSE manager.
-Keeping up to date with development in the field of HSE as they affect the working activities of the Divisions.
-Represent all division in HSE matters.
-Seek external advice and support as required from other sources with permission of HSE Manager.
-Liaise as necessary with site staff on matters concerning HSE.
-Liaise with sub contractors on matters concerning HSE.
-Analyze report forms for Accidents and near misses reportable under local legislation.
-Audit Sub contractors procedure practices and implementation of remedial measures as appropriate.
-Attend General HSE coordination meetings. Prepare minutes and send to all the concerned.
-Advise officers and staff in divisions of HSE legislation.
-Monitor the effectiveness of HSE policy in terms of performance.
-Monitor the maintenance of AFE and sub contractors registers as applicable to site activities and other HSE requirements.
-Promote safety awareness and accident prevention measures to secure a safe place of work.
-Review and audit documented procedures or safe system of work method statements and risk assessments in his division.
-Monitor the sub contractors performance in terms of the above where departures from their plan need arrangements are identified bring it to sub contractors attention by means of a Non-conformance in accordance of this HSE management system.
-Advise stoppage of any unsafe work to his Divisional manager / Project managers and to concerned sub-contractors representative and immediate information to HSE manager by email or phone call.
-Has the authority to advise the stoppage of any operation or system of works engaged by AFE employees or their sub contractors involved in his Division related to HSE issues.
-Inform immediately to HSE manager regarding any serious accident occurred through phone call / email.

-Graduation in Engineering
-NEBOSH NGC/IGC is a must.
Experience:
Minimum 6 years in core MEP projects out of which 3 years in a similar role on a large-scale projects, preferable high rise buildings and hotel
Technical Skills:
-Communication skills
-Good interpersonal skills.
-Positive attitude.
Desired Candidate
-Must be a Muslim, Saudi national is preferred or an expat based in Saudi Arabia with transferable Iqama or have worked on large building/airport projects in GCC with working knowledge in both English & Arabic
-At least 6 years experience in building MEP projects out of which 3 years experience on a similar capacity
-Able to prove his qualifications for leadership and coordination and show his previous project experience and references with details
-Preferably experienced in GCC countries in high-rise building or hotels or airport projects
