Position Project Engineer - Mechanical Job Family M.E.P. - Mechanical Management
Reports To Project Manager - Mechanical Division Oger MEP 

Job Summary: Responsible for the preparation of design, tender and execution of Plumbing, HVAC and Firefighting components of all projects. The Project Engineer will also support the Project Manager will act as the intermediary between studies step and Execution of Works. He makes sure that all technical standards are respected, and insure the good progress of the project. 

Duties & Responsibilities 
Provides technical support to Project Manager - Mechanical
Responsible for preparing the budgets as per given Technical specification & scope of work
Meets Clients or Consultants for clarifications on requirements for potential or ongoing projects
Plans, designs and develops preliminary Plumbing & HVAC concept in order to produce accurate design drawings for new-awarded projects as per requirements
Plans & distributes the project among subordinates for the issuance of tender and execution drawings within agreed time frame & requirements and controls their process and progress
Develops and reviews project schedules to ensure they are realistic
Estimates budget of Plumbing, HVAC & Firefighting components of projects, which include manpower and materials cost on planning and developing new project
Guides and reviews work of subordinates to ensure progress is within deadline and according to requirements and standards

Liaises with other engineering sections (structural, architectural, decoration and electrical engineers) to receive technical inputs and clarifications as and when required
Supports, assists, orients and trains subordinates and motivates spirit of professionalism and career advancement
Recommends continuous education programs that positively impact the performance of subordinates
Prepare the Bill of Quantity (B.O.Q.) as per Tender documents
Manage all the stock related materials of duct work shop including galvanized sheet, black steel sheet, Acoustic Insulation, grilles, Disc valves etc.
Prepare all the material requests related to Plumbing, HVAC & Firefighting Equipment of the project according to the approved Technical sheet
Frequently visits on site to solve all the Technical issues with site Foreman & Supervisors. Deals with site coordinator to get the solution related to Mechanical Department
Deals with different suppliers to get the quotations & discuss Technical issues before finalizing the material purchasing

Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering ( Plumbing or HVAC Specialty)

Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in Mechanical Engineering

Skills and Knowledge:
Must speak English language. Arabic and French speaking will be appreciated
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Be highly organized and a good multi-tasker
Workable knowledge of scope, budget schedule and quality control techniques
Be an effective communicator
