JOB SUMMARY:Company Profile:The Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair is one of the six Regional Centres of the Council. The Centre was incepted in 1983 with the objectives of carrying out biomedical research on communicable and non-communicable diseases prevalent in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a special emphasis on the health problems of the indigenous tribes and to develop technical manpower locally. However, during the past two five-year plans, the Centre recognized its identity and made rapid strides towards achieving its set objectives.
Job Description:
Technical Officer-A One Post (Social Anthropology or Microbiology) (Pay Band-2 Rs.9300-34800 GP 4600 6th CPC part A)Age Limit:
1. Not exceeding 35 years- Relaxation will be allowed to SC/ST/OBCs/PWDs as per GOI rules. Government servant/in service candidates will be allowed 5 years relaxation, SC/ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and PWDs will be allowed relaxation as per GOI rules applicable from time to time.
2. OBC candidates are required to submit the caste certificate as per GOI rules/ instructions latest by 3 years old from the date of publication of this notification and issued by competent authority in the prescribed format.”Form of certificates to be produced by other backward classes applying for appointment to post under the Government of India.”
3. Candidates working (as on the date of notification) on long term Projects in ICMR or in ICMR Institutes/Centres will be given “One time” age relaxation.
Note: UR- Unreserved, SC/ST-Scheduled Castes/Tribes, OBC- Other Backward Classes, PWDs-Person with Disabilities.
Candidate Profile:
1. Three years Graduate Degree in required subject with 5 years of experience.
2. 3 years graduate degree in related subjects with Diploma in required subject.
3. P.G degree (preferable) in required subject from a recognized university/institute with three years experience in a Govt. recognized institute/ organization.

Incomplete/late application or without IPO or those without required copies of certificates will not be entertained. Original copies of certificate should be submitted at the time of test/interview. Late entry will not be considered.
